Do Your Own Fundraising

Do Your Own Thing is all about turning what you love into meaningful support for survivors of modern slavery. Whether you keep it simple or go big, every idea can make a real difference.

To help you get started, our DYOT starter pack is packed with tips, guidance, and plenty of inspiration to bring your fundraiser to life.

Find your fundraising style

No two fundraisers are the same, and that's exactly how we like it! Whether you're looking for something quick and easy, planning an activity with young people, ready to push yourself with a challenge, or feeling inspired to try something creative, there's a fundraising style to suit everyone.

Explore the ideas below and discover what works for you. We’ll be adding fresh inspiration every week to keep your creativity flowing.

Quick and Easy

Simple ideas that make a big impact. Host a coffee morning, wear blue for the day, hold a bake sale, or ask for donations instead of gifts.

Young People

Perfect for schools, youth groups, and families. Grow sunflowers, organise a sponsored silence, hold a non-uniform day, or challenge your class to complete 100 star jumps.

Challenge Yourself

Step outside your comfort zone and do something amazing. Take on a run, walk, cycle, swim, or create your own sponsored challenge.

Creative Challenges

Let your imagination run wild. Host a quiz night, put on a talent show, organise a craft sale, or turn your hobby into a fundraiser.

How does your fundraising make a difference to survivors?

£30 could fund one hour of counselling, helping a survivor begin to heal from their experiences.

£50 could pay for one session of our weekly Toddlers Group, helping survivors find community and friendship.

£72 could fund one hour of face-to-face interpreting for a survivor, helping them to navigate their next steps.

£500 could make a house into a home by covering the costs of a renovation.
