Snowdrop's Christmas TreeSupport our Christmas Appeal
Christmas is a time for families. At Snowdrop, we provide holistic support for not just survivors, but their whole families through childcare, home renovations and community activities for all ages. By donating to our Christmas appeal, you'll be helping to ensure that survivors and their families can access the support they need to recover and rebuild their lives.
- £10 can fund transport to two community activities for a survivor, helping reduce isolation and loneliness
- £45 can fund a session of our weekly Toddlers group, providing play and friendship for survivors and their children
- £300 can fund a renovation, helping turn a house into a home for a survivor and their family
Any amount you can donate will make a real difference to survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery.
Support Christmas AppealDonate on Giving Tuesday
Tuesday 28th November is Giving Tuesday 2023. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good, following the consumerism of Black Friday. Over the last decade, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year, on Giving Tuesday, we’re giving anyone who donates £5 or more a free enamel pin badge, which you can wear with pride to show your support for survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery. Keep an eye on our social media channels next Tuesday for more info!

Modern slavery can be extremely difficult to spot. It could be happening at a home on your street, in your local nail salon or at a nearby car wash. It might be the cleaner who empties your office bin every night, or the care worker looking after your loved one at a care home.
One way you can support those living in modern slavery to rebuild their lives is by learning to spot the signs and remaining vigilant all year round.
Physical signs:
- They may look anxious, dishevelled, or malnourished.
- They may have untreated injuries.
Less obvious signs:
- Someone paying for their travel
- Someone speaking for them
- Perhaps they are picked up and dropped off from work at unusual times
- They may not be sure of their own address
If you come into contact with someone who you suspect may be a victim of modern slavery and is in need of help, you can call the Modern Slavery helpline on 0800 0121 700.
From all of us at Snowdrop, thank you for your support this year. Snowdrop literally wouldn’t exist without our community of donors and supporters, and we really don’t take it for granted. Until the next blog – take care!
