Our Sheffield Charity Hub Has Office Space Available!

If you’re a charity or social enterprise looking for office space in Sheffield, the Snowdrop building could be the perfect place to call home. With a third-floor space currently available to rent, we’d like to share five reasons why it’s a great place to work. 

Your rent helps to provide support to survivors of modern slavery and exploitation.

The Snowdrop Project owns the building – so rather than pay rent to a regular landlord, you’ll be contributing to Snowdrop’s long-term, holistic services, which cover everything from trauma-informed counselling and casework, to home renovations and toddler clubs. Our clients chose the name Snowdrop because they symbolise something new, beautiful and resilient emerging at the hardest time. You’ll become part of a community of like-minded organisations.

The Snowdrop building is a friendly, trusted and safe place for clients to visit – this is vital to our work, and highly valued by those in the building’s wider community. If you base yourself here you will be in good company: joining ATLEU (Anti-Trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit), SAVTE (Sheffield Association for the Voluntary Teaching of English), sex education charity Fumble, and Irise International, who empower those experiencing disadvantage because they have a female body. In addition to the organisations based here, the Snowdrop building also has meeting rooms available to hire. 

Sheffield’s Castlegate area is well-connected and has hidden highlights!

The Snowdrop building is situated on Castle Green – close to Sheffield Interchange and Castle Square tram stop, and a short walk from Sheffield Station. There’s a wider network of public, cultural and charitable organisations in the area, ranging from Sheffield Magistrates’ Court to Exchange Place art studios. As you settle into the area you’ll discover hidden highlights, such as Albie’s Coffee, the pioneering Grey to Green scheme, and foodie hangout Kommune.  

The Snowdrop building itself is historic with lots of character.

The Grade II listed building originally dates from the mid-1860s, when it was built to house Sheffield’s police force. These days, there are few signs of its earlier life (although there are rumours of a secret tunnel!). Instead, the building benefits from lots of natural light, courtesy of big Victorian windows, and a gentle, friendly feel thanks to its Snowdrop makeover. There are community rooms, a shared lunch room and a welcoming reception space, plus facilities such as showers and bike storage. 

You’ll get a self-contained 539 sq ft office on the third floor, with services including WiFi, utilities, staffed reception and 24/7 access.
